@Roman, @Ilmari, Just to be sure, can you please re-download the file and check again ?
Comment 6 Xisco Faulí 2024-08-23 13:26:56 UTC
BTW, what version of Windows are you using ?

I ran repair for the installer and now it works. Windows 11. Maybe there was some server trouble when we downloaded? Weird that we got the same issue.

I just deleted LibreOfficeDev and install it again using the same .msi that I download - I had no the problem >_<

Reproducible with
Version: 24.8.1.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: ef51c4a0cd35185debf25ad9d0db6a1c14bed5a0
CPU threads: 16; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (10.0 build 22631); UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: es-ES (es_ES); UI: en-US
Calc: CL threaded

At first install fails, after repair works fine.

I think that releasing this version with this kind of problem, it looks really a bad and hard problem, which can seriously damage the app's rating. Plus it will be a big time consumer, for everyone.

In my opinion, we should stop its release, until it is fixed.

where nss goes from nss-3.102.1-with-nspr-4.35.tar.gz to nss-3.101.2-with-nspr-4.35.tar.gz so for some reason the updater doesn't like nss going to a smaller version number

I triggered a new build in https://ci.libreoffice.org/job/lo_daily_tb_win/. Once it's ready it should contain the revert. However, the problem shouldn't be reproducible
Comment 16 BogdanB 2024-08-29 05:22:14 UTC
Xisco, just asking: will this be applied also to 24.8? I notice this on 24.8.1 over 24.8.0.
