The current state of the new chart type "Histogram" is unusable. For related bugs see bug 162134. The main problems are: * Load/Save with ODF does not work. * Import/Export with Excel does not work. * Copy&Paste does not work. * Generating a "Histogram" chart via macro does not work. Ideally, the feature should be totally removed for LO 25.2., but as we are already at RC 1, immediately before code freeze, from a user point of view it might be sufficient to hide the "Histogram" chart type in the UI. The new feature should not be hidden in "Experimental features" for LO 25.8, because then users of the daily build will not be aware that such feature is in processing and we will not get bug reports. Devansh Varshney is actively working on the problems, see discussions on the dev-list. But as code freeze is this week, it will surely not be finished for LO 25.2.
Tomaž Vajngerl is working on it in https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/179811.
Tomaž Vajngerl committed a patch related to this issue. It has been pushed to "libreoffice-25-2": https://git.libreoffice.org/core/commit/9693f1461c7d78c7461f8bbd7f421ba8c3f8452b tdf#164593 Revert "tdf#82716 Add initial implementation of the His.." It will be available in 25.2.0.2. The patch should be included in the daily builds available at https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ in the next 24-48 hours. More information about daily builds can be found at: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Testing_Daily_Builds Affected users are encouraged to test the fix and report feedback.
