Description: When using the slideshow mode of Impress, the screen should not go blank/locked. This is the case when using the .deb version of LibreOffice, but not when using its flatpak version. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install the flatpak version of LO from flathub 2.Create a simple presentation 3.Go to slideshow Actual Results: After a few minutes (depending on your computer configuration), the screen goes blank / locked. Expected Results: The slideshow should prevent this Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: This is on Ubuntu 24.04, flatpak version of LO from flathub.
I was able to reproduce with only the flatpak version and not the .deb Taking from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/flatpak "Bugs only appearing in the Flatpak version should be reported to Flathub (https://github.com/flathub/org.libreoffice.LibreOffice/issues)."
Interesting issue! I've noticed similar quirks with other Flatpak apps. It's frustrating when trying to present, and the screen suddenly blanks. Makes me feel like I'm back in the Dinosaur Game, frantically hitting the spacebar to avoid the obstacles! Perhaps a temporary workaround is disabling screen lock entirely while presenting. Hopefully, the Flatpak maintainers can address this soon. It's crucial for a smooth presentation experience. https://dinosaurgamefree.com/

Indeed. Frederic: please report it to Flathub's GitHub.
