tdf#113974 - Ability to import / parse / filter JSON data and extract fields,
is fixed so it is possible now import those JSON file, but it only works through Menu>Sheet>Insert sheet from file
Directly opening the file.

But it is not option to do it with:

Menu>Sheet>External Links.
Menu>Data>Data Provider.


Would be fine, especially the first one (External links), because it is more flexible than those already working, you can put the data anywhere in the sheet with the option to use an updating timer.
