For the test, could you run LibreOffice in safe mode (https://help.libreoffice.org/25.8/en-US/text/shared/01/profile_safe_mode.html) and give it a new try? Thank you

I face the same problem. I'll take the text at https://www.documentfoundation.org/financials-and-reports/ as an example (from title up to and including the "2023 Annual Report" section), just so we're all on the same page.

When paste choosing "Unformatted Text" with text from any website, nothing is inserted. Interestingly, when I paste this text normally, and then what I just pasted into Writer, and attempt "Unformatted Text" pasting that, it works. In that case, more options are shown in the "Paste Special" dialog than when attempting to directly paste from my web browser.

In safe mode, the behavior is the same for me. I have tested.

Version: 25.2.7.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 520(Build:2)
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.17; UI render: default; VCL: kf6 (cairo+wayland)
Locale: de-DE (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
25.2.7-1
Calc: threaded

Sorry, I messed up my sentence by missing a word. Here it is again:

Interestingly, when I paste this text normally, and then COPY what I just pasted into Writer, and attempt "Unformatted Text" pasting that, it works.

Unformated text shortcut is: Ctrl+Shift+Alt+V. Jano, please test again with this shortcut.

Yes, that works!
Quite uncomfortable option to choose, what was wrong with the previous option? (Shift + Ctrl + V)

It has been like that "forever", nothing was changed.

I have the same problem with libreoffice-fresh using 25.8.3.2 on Garuda - linux in wayland / kde plasma.

Often I just want to copy and paste some text from the a webseite and want to paste it into my document / libreoffice writer.

When I just use Ctrl-V to paste, everything works, except that I have the formatting of the source in my document. Using Ctrl-Shift-V shows a window asking if I want to past HTML-formatted or plain. But no matter which option I choose, nothing gets pasted.

The same when I use the menu-bar “edit → paste special” (which is greyed out / inactive). Right-click → Paste works, Right-click → Paste special not.

Using other software as libreoffice (for example onlyoffice) → No problem so far, using Ctrl-Alt-Shift-V in libreoffice → No problem. The problem only seems to appear in pasting using or having UI-Elements.

Can you point to an example section on a specific web page, so we can test?

OK,

I testet a bit further and now I'm totaly confused

When it works:

C&P using only keyboard-shortcuts (Ctrl-V, Ctrl-Alt-Shift-V)
C&P from Libreoffice itself / the current document, no matter if using gui-elements.

When it not works:
C&P using Gui-Elements with my browser (no matter witch webpage as source, this website here for example) or any other program as source:
  - Ctrl-Shift-V, no matter what I select
  - edit → paste special (is greyed out)

What sometimes works:
  - right click -> Paste or Paste special, works after switching windows.

I'll try to make a video the next days trying to show it if this could be helpful?

I don't understand what you mean by Gui-Elements. Can you elaborate, so we can test?
