Description: No Libreoffice listing in the taskbar is very confusing as "Text import" dialog may be opened in the background and user does not have any indication that Libreoffice is running at all. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a CSV file with no Libreoffice windows open. Actual Results: Observe no Libreoffice window listing in the taskbar but "Text import" dialog is opened and may be in the backround of other active windows. Starting main Libreoffice application does not open a new window while "Text import" dialog is opened. Expected Results: Opening CSV file should start empty Libreoffice Calc window with "Text import" dialog associated with it. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Version: 25.8.3.2 (X86_64) Build ID: 8ca8d55c161d602844f5428fa4b58097424e324e CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (build 26200); UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: lt-LT (lt_LT); UI: en-US Calc: CL threaded
Created attachment 204378 [details] No Libreoffice entry in taskbar while CSV import dialog is opened
Confirmed. The 'Text import...' dialog launches an soffice.bin instance to build/parse the dialog. But it seems abbreviated in some sense. It does not record to WDM taskbar, and Canceling it does not fall back to a full LibreOffice GUI instance. If this is necessary for CLI filter parsing, then OK. It is kind of a corner case. Direct launch of LO from os/DE file open and filter import. No recurrence of the see also bug 32935 here. Don't know about bug 119813 on the linux os/DE. But it does seem like WDM opening a "CSV" File (of any flavor) for import to an ODF Spreadsheet for scalc should fully bring up LibreOffice UI, and appear on the WDM Taskbar since it is already available to the taskmanager. =-testing-= Version: 25.8.3.2 (X86_64) Build ID: 8ca8d55c161d602844f5428fa4b58097424e324e CPU threads: 28; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (build 26200); UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: CL threaded
