I have a problem [1] where I need to repeatedly print and manually set orientation to "Landscape" every time. I believe the Print dialog should save the orientation to last selected option (it already does this for most others, like page size) [1] https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/envelope-printing-orientation-troubles/129630
Hi Konstantin, I can confirm that the landscape/portrait mode setting is not being saved between prints. The orientation must be reselected for each new print job instead of remaining at the last-used value. This is reproducible in both the live and alpha versions. (In reply to Konstantin Svist from comment #0) > https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/envelope-printing-orientation-troubles/129630 Quoting from that topic: So I have a bunch of envelopes I want to print. The paper size is approximately 5.25" x 7.25". Limitation: my printer does not like these envelopes to be in landscape orientation, that makes it jam. So, I set the Printer Settings -> Properties to 5x8", Portrait. In LOW, I set Format -> Page Style -> Page to 5.25" x 7.25", Landscape When I go to Print..., I set Paper Size to 5.00in x 8.00in and Orientation to Landscape. After printing successfully, I update the address and go to Print... again – and the Orientation field is back to Automatic. Is there any way to make it stay on Landscape?? Automatic sounds good in theory, except that it always wants to print the text upright – but since the printer feed orientation is Portrait, it comes out sideways. It doesn’t seem to care that my in-doc page layout is Landscape. Already in 6.3, where it was made possible to change the orientation in the LibreOffice print dialog itself.
