Unfortunately without clear steps to reproduce it, we cannot track down the origin of the problem. If possible can you detail the steps you took before the noisy line appears or whether this happens with a specific document? 

Setting the report to NEEDINFO until more information is available.

Sadly no. Some bugs are very difficult to trace. Hard to tell what should one do to trigger this
