this document will show the bug.

I installed 3.3.1 RC1 and it fixed some of my problems but it created a new one. In 3.3.0 I opened a document with a graphic in it and the graphic came up fine. In 3.3.1 RC1 the graphic doesn't appear, just a box with a gray outline with the word graphic inside the box and a little 3 shape picture in the upper right corner.

What wasn't broke now is. See attached.

Let me add to this. This is not with just opening docs from prior to 3.3.1 RC1. If I create a new doc and try to insert a graphic I get the same box with a gray outline with the word graphic inside the box and a little 3 shape picture in the upper right corner.

Your document seems Ok for me. Have you checked the option in Tools > Options... > LibreOffice Writer > View > Display:Graphics and objects?

NOT Reproducible with sample document and "LibreOffice 3.3.1 RC1 - WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) German UI [OOO330m19 (build 7 / tag 3.3.1.1)]". Navigator shows 2 Graphics "MCJ....", and both are visible for me.

OK. On the PC (XP SP3) that is demonstrating the issue I already had LO 3.3.0 installed and then installed LO 3.3.1 RC1. So then I installed LO 3.3.1 RC1 on an XP SP3 PC fresh, where LO has never been installed, but OO 3.2.1 is installed and voila graphics are fine.

Do you think it was due to installing 3.3.1 RC1 over 3.3.0?

Scott, please answer my question: the option Tools > Options... > LibreOffice Writer > View > Display:Graphics and objects is checked or not on installation than not shows images? It must be checked.

Works for me in RC2 (Win XP SP3)
Comment 7 Scott 2011-02-21 06:51:14 UTC
Issue is resolved. Must have been an issue during install. Had OO already installed so I uninstalled OO & LO then reinstalled LO and all was well.

Due to reporter's latest comment.

@Scott:
Please feel free to reopen this Bug if you find out that the problem still exists in the latest release of LibO.
