[This is an automated message.] This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases. Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1 more detail on this bulk operation: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/RFC-Operation-Spamzilla-tp3607474p3607474.html
Reproducible in: LOdev 3.5.0beta2 Build ID: 8589e48-760cc4d-f39cf3d-1b2857e-60db978 Microsoft Windows Vista Business 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002
reproduced in LibO 3.5.0 beta 2 on Fedora 64 bit -if save as ppt and then File->Relaod, background becomes small picture in right bottom corner -if save as pptx and reload, background disappears
Buggy behaviour reproducible with LO 4.4.0.3, Win 8.1. PPT: With LO 4.4.0.3 ok, the background image is there as expected -> not reproducible PPTX: The background image gots lost -> reproducible But another thing I recognized: If I open the ppt and pptx files then they are shown with Grid Lines (VIEW -> GRID -> DISPLAY GRID), but this was not the case for the odp file. Looks for me like another bug.

Version: 5.5.0.0.alpha0+ Build-ID: b08217989558addbcaded122a4e7211ae24bbcff CPU-Threads: 4; Betriebssystem:Linux 4.8; UI-Render: Standard; VCL: gtk2; TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@70-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2017-05-31_06:36:03 Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); Calc: group
This bug was about exporting to .ppt and that has been resolved. The issue with .pptx is filed in another bug (bug 108356).
