In a document containing serveral pages - Select a page inside the document - Choose Insert -> Picture -> From File - Chosse Picturefile (checked with *.png only) - When you click on OK the picture is inserted at the right place, but the display scrolls down to the last page.
Failed to reproduce on LibreOffice 3.4 340m1(Build:103) for OpenSuse Linux. On multi-page document, view does not jump to the bottom of the page after inserting image.
I also have the same problem when inserting pictures. After inserting the document scrolls to the end of the last page. This did not happen in OpenOffice. Note that the original poster and I am using Windows. The initial reply states this was tested on Linux!
I can confirm this for LibreOffice 3.4.4 OOO340m1 (Build:402) on Windows 7. Either inserting new image via menu as Comment 1 describes or just inserting image with ctrl-v (having the image in the clipboard)
[This is an automated message.] This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases. Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1 more detail on this bulk operation: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/RFC-Operation-Spamzilla-tp3607474p3607474.html
Still there in 3.5.Beta 1
Focus stays on inserted picture. Choosing an other layout-template (in my case a modified graphics template) from the list jumps back to the right place. Tomy
