Description Jesus Corrius 2011-10-17 06:34:28 UTC
This is the Meta bug to track most annoying bugs of the installation of LibreOffice on Windows. It helps developers to concentrate on bugs that are important for the release of a new and much improved installer for Windows. Also it helps users to be aware of potential problems.

If anyone wants to raise a Bug for the release, please add the Bug ID as
dependent Bug here to the Meta Bug in field "Depends on". Additionally please
leave a comment here why you think that the bug should be privileged.
Comment 1 Chris Woollard 2011-10-19 03:37:48 UTC
Bug 41994 - Hinders corporate roll outs.
Comment 2 Lionel Elie Mamane 2011-12-01 13:44:38 UTC
Nominate bug 42826: showing a crash during install is definitely giving a bad first impression.
Comment 3 Joel Madero 2012-08-05 17:05:54 UTC
I'm moving this out of UNCONFIRMED state. I'm not sure if this is being used at all (there are only 2 bugs), if it's not being used please mark it as RESOLVED -> INVALID. For now I'm moving it to NEW (ie. confirmed since it's just a meta bug).

Comment 8 Timur 2013-03-04 19:53:22 UTC
I thing that those should be added
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44462 (it's not a bug but belongs here) and
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60714 (when it's confirmed).
Comment 9 V Stuart Foote 2013-03-05 17:10:33 UTC
Agree with Timur's comment 8.

Added the enhancement bug 44462 as work associated with that should resolve many of the Windows install specific issues of file associations impacting this tracking bug.
Comment 10 Timur 2013-03-06 12:39:54 UTC
Added
Bug 51529 - Quickstarter is not shut down from Installer Wizard
Bug 33798 - In certain partial installation scenarios just one "module" gets installed
Comment 11 V Stuart Foote 2013-03-06 16:00:49 UTC
Added bug 48361 - Custom Install or Modify: Associate Microsoft Office Files should reflect current setting

Suggests some lack of interaction of MS Installer - Windows registry settings - and the LibreOffice .msi installer panels.
