Running LibreOffice 3.4.3 OOO340m1 (Build:302)on Mac OS X Snow Leopard I am able to change the default programs of all file extensions as far as I have tested without problems, but the .ods file extension is giving me problems. Upon highlighting an .ods file and typing "command i" I see the default file to "Open with" is Open Office. When I select LibreOffice in the drop down menu and click "Change All" I get a popup box that says, "Are you sure you want to change all similar documents to open with the application “OpenOffice.app”?". I click Continue and everything stays at Open Office. I have tried this off and on for a week with the same results. Although I chose LibreOffice in the dropdown menu, the popup menu said it would change to OpenOffice. Today, somehow I got the default to change over to LibreOffice. I decided to try switching it back and so tried the process in reverse (with LibreOffice open). So while trying to switch the default from LibreOfficeto OpenOffice, (by choosing Openoffice as the default program in the drop down menu) I get a message that says "Are you sure you want to change all similar documents to open with the application “LibreOffice.app”?".
Thanks for bugreport Please, verify if in last version of LibreOffice still reproducible
After comment #2, the status should be "NEEDINFO".
Thank you very much for your bug report! From time to time, I have seen the same problem with other applications, too; the last time, I could not change the default application to open “.crash” files to BBEdit. I am using the same Mac OS X version, therefore I think this is a problem in Mac OS X 10.6.x (Snow Leopard), not in LibreOffice; but I can not say when this problem appears and when not. Therefore I set the status of this report to RESOLVED/NOTOURBUG. Feel free to re-open it if you have important evidence that this is indeed a bug in LibreOffice itself. Thank you very much!
