Description Mike §chinagl 2011-11-20 08:23:08 UTC
Created attachment 53723 [details]
screenshot of help section (german)

Steps to reproduce:
0. Install German Help package
1. <f1>
2. 'Find' - Search Term "Navigator" - <find>
3. click on 'Navigator' (first entry)
4. click on "Navigator" (10th entry)

A. There are two different entries for Navigator and the first one should be deleted as it links to the second.

B. When the second is opended you read `Menü Bearbeiten - Navigator` while it should read `Menü Ansicht - Navigator'. This wrong information is repeated in a following sentence `Um den Navigator zu öffnen, wählen Sie Bearbeiten - Navigator.'which should read Um den Navigator zu öffnen, wählen Sie Ansicht - Navigator.`

C. Later it reads 'Um die Anzahl der Elemente in einer Kategorie anzuzeigen, stellen Sie sicher, dass Tipp unter Extras – Optionen – OpenOffice.org – Allgemein unter Hilfe aktiviert ist' while it should read `... unter Extras – Optionen – LibreOffice – Allgemein aktiviert ist'

I guess it's the same in other languages, but I don't know how to test that.

Platform (if different from the browser): Linux (Ubuntu 10.10), LibO3.4.4

[Reproducible] with "LibreOffice 3.4.4 - WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) GERMAN UI [OOO340m1 (Build:402)]"

NOT Reproducible with "LibreOffice 3.4.4 - WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) English UI [OOO340m1 (Build:402)]"

Might have been a mishap in Pootle?

Hi,

now I am using WinXP, LibreOffice 3.4.4, OOO340m1 (Build:402) and can confirm my own problem for Problem B. (wrong path description) and C. (Extras – Optionen – OpenOffice.org instead of LibreOffice). I cannot confirm Problem A. (two entries for Navigator), but there are many more entries for that word which is astonishing in itself. I added a screenshot.

@Rainer: I have put this bug under Documentation instead of localisation beacuse i guessed this also appears in the English version, but this has not yet been confirmed.

B. is partially German-only bug, see below. The last occurence is wrong in English, too, which I fixed.

source/text/scalc/01.po-msgid "Choose <emph>View - Navigator</emph> to display the Navigator."
source/text/scalc/01.po:msgstr "Wählen Sie zum Anzeigen des Navigators <emph>Bearbeiten - Navigator</emph>."
--
source/text/scalc/guide.po-msgid "Choose <emph>View - Navigator</emph> to open the Navigator window."
source/text/scalc/guide.po:msgstr "Wählen Sie <emph>Bearbeiten - Navigator</emph> um das Fenster <emph>Navigator</emph> zu öffnen."
--
source/text/shared/00.po-msgid "Choose <emph>View - Navigator</emph>"
source/text/shared/00.po:msgstr "Menü<emph> Bearbeiten - Navigator</emph>"
--
source/text/swriter/01.po-msgid "To open the Navigator, choose <emph>View - Navigator</emph>. To move the Navigator, drag its title bar. To dock the Navigator, drag its title bar to the left or to the right edge of the workspace. To undock the Navigator, double-click in a free area of the Navigator."
--
source/text/swriter/guide.po-msgid "Choose <emph>Edit - Navigator</emph> to open the Navigator window."
source/text/swriter/guide.po:msgstr "Wählen Sie <emph>Bearbeiten - Navigator</emph> um das Fenster <emph>Navigator</emph> zu öffnen."

C. is German-only bug

source/text/swriter/01.po-msgid "Click the plus sign (+) next to a category in the Navigator to view the items in the category. To view the number of items in a category, rest your mouse pointer over the category in the Navigator. To jump to an item in the document, double-click the item in the Navigator."

To A.: This are two different help pages, the first describes der icon in the toolbar, the second the functionality of the navigator. Both must stay, but one of the entrys could be renamed to clarify it.

To B. and C.: I solved this bugs for 3.4.x and 3.5.x in Pootle, should be corrected in 3.4.5 an 3.5.0.

Could this bug be closed then?
