The quotes become ｫ and ｻ correspondingly.
Problem does not occur on Windows Vista 64.

I agree that loosing data is very annoying but we do not have yet a scenario to reproduce this problem and it is impossible for the developers to fix a problem they can't themselves. Please provide any information you can about what triggers this bad behavior. Best regards. JBF
For a start, you may open attached RTF document and save it again. In that case more corrupted styles will appear.
Still present in RC.

Using LO 3.5.1, I do not reproduce formating loss when saving the source file provided by https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=56989 as RTF. Please could you try again ? Best regards. JBF
Everything is the same, except now the quotes ARE GONE ENTIRELY.
I am having the same problem! I'm tested v3.5.4, v.3.5.5 and v3.6.0.4rc
Miklos - the quote mangling is rather clear on the third page; any chance you can look at it. Urmas - I'm sorry your document was mangled, but please don't use sexualised language, and 'rape' metaphores they're grossly inappropriate.
Urmas, Please provide the original document where the quotes are OK. The source.rtf you provided already has the quotes mangled, so I'm unable to fix your problem without that info. Thanks, Miklos

Look again ;-) I load source.rtf, save it again and re-load (using master) and loose some magic symbols - no idea if they are quotes they look like this: ｫXxx!ｻ xxxx xxx. Since they are around what looks like speech, I assume these are the quote marks being mentioned - they're not clearly flagged; so checkout the last sentence in the document eg.
Ronildo Matsuura: do you have a sample document with quote characters that get lost ? ie. the original before saving it ?
I cannot reproduce quotes, numeration and garbage styles names with 3.6.0. But ALL character styles are lost when saving/loading RTF document.
