Problem description: I am using LibreOffice 3.3.4 as a word processor on a Mac OS X 10.7. I have started finding that whenever I try to use Search & Replace the program simply freezes up and I have to use Force Quit to get out of the program. This happens irrespective of the age of the document I am trying to edit. Steps to reproduce: 1. .... 2. .... 3. .... Current behavior: Expected behavior: Platform (if different from the browser): Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_7) AppleWebKit/534.48.3 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Safari/534.48.3
Last stable version is 3.4.5 and there'll be 3.5.0 very soon (3.5.0 rc3) has been released. You must know that there won't be any 3.3.X version. Could you try to reproduce with any of these 2 versions ?
Dear Julien, Thank you for your help. I have downloaded version 3.4.5 and on one level the problem has been resolved. The program no longer seizes up as soon as I select Find & Replace. But curiously enough I now find that in version 3.4.5 Find or Find & Replace are no longer accessible from the keyboard by use of the Command key and F. I have to go and select the relevant command Find or Find and Replace from the Menu bar. But I can happily live with that.
