Hm, I think this one is concerning similar problems, but not a DUP of Bug 44838. Here we are talking about copa CALC contents to WRITER, Bug 44838 is about copying vrom Writer ti CALC.

Both are about a general problem that newly created OLE objects have focus not exactly to pasted contents.

Problem with copy-paste from Calc to Writer as OLE object (used ctrl-Sift-V for pasting, selected first item) [reproduced] in 3.5.5 and 3.6.beta1 on Fedora 64 bit
not reproduced in 3.3.4 with copy-paste from Calc to Writer
therefore regression
not reproduced in all versions with copy-paste from Calc to Impress as OLE

What is interesting: when double click pasted OLE object in Writer and after it click outside of object then it becomes fixed.

Could you please add a reproducer (ods) document? That would help to bibisect this bug.

Can not understand how I reproduced this bug one year ago.
Sorry for this fault.

It is also possibly that bug is already fixed somewhere before 3.6.5

with this bugdoc i can reproduce copying A23 - J30:

bug in 3.4.6 (in the OLE preview image, extra space on top, bottom cut off)
but 3.5.7 works fine and 4.1.5.3 and master too.

so resolving this WFM.

if you re-open this please provide a reproducible scenario with
bug document.
