Created attachment 58981 [details] See the problem Hi! LibreOffice 3.5.1.2 and Win7 x64. I opened a new writer document, inserted a chart (german UI) and changed the sata ( 2 rows; 2 columns). Finally I tried to change the colour of one Datarow. It didn't work (pls. refer to the attached file...) Italo Vignoli tried it, so it might be a REGRESSION ( http://www.italovignoli.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/pippo.jpg ) ASAP I will try it with the latest RC...
Please attach a test document and explain how to reproduce it. And please only mark it as a regression if you tested it yourself with an older version and can tell us in which version it was still working. Regression is a keywork to make it easier for devs to find commits introducing bugs.

Created attachment 186090 [details] example of color setting problems with charts example of color setting problems with charts
I will restate the problem In Calc a chart can be made and will use the default colors under tools > options > charts > default colors. OK. If I go and change those default colors there are a few things going wrong. * The changes are not saved. In fact if i press apply they are wiped and the defaults are shown again. However if I click OK (without having cliked apply) then the colors I have selected will be applied to the next chart. * If I reopen the dialog it still shows the wrong colors, but will use the colors I previously selected. * However if I open the chart properties and select/deselect 'title' or 'subtitle' the colors revert to the original defaults (which by the way are so ugly my eyes hurt). The previous attached image should illustrate the problem. * If i close and reopen the file the nice colors (those pale ones) have gone and the same chart is shown again with the LO default chart colors. I can make a sample file, but it won't prove anything since the attempt to customize the colors doesn't get saved with the file. I noticed this first LO 7.5 but it is happening with 7.4 as well.
(In reply to Duncan Lithgow from comment #13) > I can make a sample file, but it won't prove anything since the attempt to > customize the colors doesn't get saved with the file. > > I noticed this first LO 7.5 but it is happening with 7.4 as well. Thank you Duncan, that was reported in bug 153172 and the fix will land in 7.5.2 and is already in 7.4.6.
Regarding the bug described here, it is still reproducible in: Version: 7.5.1.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: fcbaee479e84c6cd81291587d2ee68cba099e129 CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-US (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded Noting that it affects all chart types I tested, not just donuts. There is some variation in how other formatting options fail (e.g. transparency and Starting angle work, but border settings worked until I changed chart types)
