Problem description: LibreOffice shows outline around text on buttons. Outline is not used on any Windows, Mac or Linux UI theme. So it breaks user experience on these platforms because of inconsistency. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open any dialog (for example options or Do you want to save your document) 2. Look at the buttons 3. .... Current behavior: Currently there's an outline around text inside buttons Expected behavior: There should be no outline, since neither Windows, Mac or Linux use it Platform (if different from the browser): Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0
Sounds like a more general description of "Bug 51047 - : White box around buttons in About Dialog" @Tomasz Sałaciński: Why do you think that this one is different from a.m. Bug?
Created attachment 63012 [details] Screenshot of "Are you sure" dialog (in Polish) Arrow points to outline around text
Hmm.. I was pretty sure that I have attached a screenshot. It's a different issue, look at the screenshot. The outline I am speaking about is not around the button itself; it's around the text that's inside the button. The arrow i drew in Paint points to this. This screenshot comes from Windows 7 (I'm at work and currently unable to make a screenshot from Linux), but it happens on Linux too. Such outline is not present in any application on Windows/Linux/Mac.
To clarify: I mean the dotted outline around the text, not the button itself.
Ah, something completely different. I see that in all my LibO versions starting with 3.3.3 (for example "LibreOffice 3.5.4.2 German UI/Locale [Build-ID: 165a79a-7059095-e13bb37-fef39a4-9503d18] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) ), but not 3.6.0 alpha/beta. I see it sometimes in Documentation (GS3400-GettingStartedLibO.pdf" page 67), but not always. I thougt that would be a feature, showing somehow active" button, But I never understood the details. It's also in AOOo 3.4 @Tomasz Sałaciński: And are you sure that you observed that first with 3.6.0alpha1?
As I see yes - this happens in earlier versions of Libreoffice. So 3.6.0alpha1 is not the first version to introduce this. But anyway - it would be nice to see this fixed.
I see that outline around text of focused buttons on LibO 3.6.4 using Vista 64 bit. However I'm not sure if it has to be consider a real bug... it seems to me just a matter of tastes... does it really annoys you?
Well, it's not that annoying. But I think LO should blend into the desktop. Right now some buttons have this outline, some doesn't. So for the sake of consistency and desktop integration in my opinion it should be removed :)
Ok. that outline is probably unnecessary and could be removed. not a top priority bug anyway.

This annoys me too. Inherited from OOo.
