Please provide more detailed information. What steps did you go through to see this problem? For example, what menus did you access and what buttons did you press?

Did you go Format->Cells->Background?

And what was the actual problem you found? Did it not change the colour correctly?
Comment 2 mats 2012-07-23 06:43:22 UTC
It's not the question, if it change the colour correctly, it didn't change anyway.

There are several problems:

1. I couldn''t set a colour of my choice
2. The only colour that I can set is the colour from the panel, but after that...
3. I couldn't change the colour
4. I couldn't delete a colour
5. The only way to work with the cells-background is with copy and paste, if I have the coloured field in my chart, but this kills the calculation or the form and substance.

Before the version 3.6.0.1 I hadn't this problem, it worked perfect.

Please list the steps required to reproduce the problem.

For example, what menus did you access and what buttons did you
press?

When I'm open a calculation, i press the button for the background-colours, the menu opens, after that I can press on every colourfield or the blankfield and nothing happens, it has no effect on the marked field in my calculation.

Which button do you press? what is displayed or written on the button?

A screenshot would help.
Comment 6 mats 2012-07-23 20:40:52 UTC
I use it in German, in this version the button calls 'Hintergrundfarbe', the translation of this word is 'background colour', you can find this button on the above the calculation in the toolbar/format.
Comment 7 billhook 2012-07-23 23:56:28 UTC
Do you get the same problem if you create a new spreadsheet?

Try

1. Go File->New->Spreadsheet
2. Press the 'Hintergrundfarbe' button.
3. Select a colour.

Does it work?
Comment 8 mats 2012-07-24 06:16:00 UTC
No, it doesn't, I can only take the colour, which is fixed (yellow), but I could'nt change it or make a into blank.

I have this problem in every calculation.

mats,

I think I just realised what is going on.

Are you clicking the button, or the drop down arrow to the right of the button?

If you click the button itself, it fills the cells with the current background colour (yellow, in your case) without giving the option to select a different colour.

Clicking the arrow *next to* the button should bring up the colour selection dialog, and allow you to change the background colour.
