Problem description: In Cell borders shortcut option in editing toolbar, there is no option present for making Thick Borders. As any spreadsheet data always need to have some thick borders, if the option is available its very convenient for use. Steps to reproduce: 1. Click on border options 2. .... 3. .... Current behavior: Shows only thin line borders Expected behavior: Thick line options should be seen as well. (similar options are present in gnumeric / MS excel) Platform (if different from the browser): Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0.1
Agreed that this is an enhancement request. Marking as Medium Enhancement, also adding whiteboard status of proposed easy hack.
caolanm->mstahl: "borders", what do you think ?
In order to limit the confusion between ProposedEasyHack and EasyHack and to make queries much easier we are changing ProposedEasyHack to NeedsDevEval. Thank you and apologies for the noise

I think this needs some UX evaluation
This ticket mixes (thin) grid lines and (potentially thick) printout border. The latter can be done easily with table styles (Format > Autoformat Styles...) => WFM
Created attachment 160673 [details] example_borders I gather this is not about that, but about the quick cell borders options. Attached is an example with the default (and the only available variant) borders, compared to thick borders set through Ctrl+1.
