Considerations on PDF option dialog: I would like to see a PDF export dialog also in Option/General tab, so that the user could setup general export options and use them when using the PDF quick command on the Toolbar.
Thanks for reporting. This is a valid user request. Therefore I mark it as NEW. Kind regards, Joren
Hi, what about this request? Is there any chance to see it? :) Thanks and regards.
We never give ETA's - the options are: 1. Fix it yourself; 2. Pay for a fix; 3. Find a friend to fix it; 4. Wait for a volunteer. No one in the project dictates who fixes what (even for serious bugs).
Do you talk about tools > options > load/save in order to, for example, always have PDF/A enabled? If so, what options are needed? Or do you think the quick exporter should take the options from this dialog- and what you check here is remembered across sessions. What is your use case?

Hi, I would like to have (see) a PDF setting page in Tools > Options > LibreOffice, where to configure the PDF options in the way usually a user needs. In case the user needs to change temporarily the PDF settings, then he can use the "File > Export as PDF" page. In other words, I would like PDF to have its own page in Tools > Options This is because, IMHO, the "Export as PDF settings page" is not intuitive for average/normal user. HTH, Valter

Having the PDF export options under tools > options makes sense if you set it up for once and never again. It has the benefit of an easier workflow on export but the drawback that these things are somewhat hidden. For sake of consistency we would have to do the same for other export dialogs. The request is a WF if we assume that PDF's are different and you have to save a PDF/A only once in a while. IÄm a bit split here. Samuel, Thorsten: What's your take?
The topic was on the agenda of the design meeting but did not receive further input. The request is not about a particular option but rather all settings as default values. But PDF documents are expected as different from each other, ie. one requires option A while the other needs B. So we better not clutter the options dialog.
