Hello, For French people, the the '.' in numerical expression is a ','. Could youi assign a ',' to the '.' touch in the numerical keypad ? Thanks Serge BRIELLE
@Rainer What do you mean: I would refer to Bugreport 52240 [1] and close this bugreport? [1] https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52240
@Serge Don´t send a PM to me. Please discuss here. Serge wrote: My problem is only for people writing 1/2 = 0,5 and not 0.5. With an extended keyboard, there is numerical part with numbers and the touch ".". When I pressed it on spreadsheet or data base, I hope to get a"," not "." In my frenche version, I choose : Option -> Paramètres Linguistiques -> Langues -> Touche séparateur de décimales = Identique au paramètres linguistiques(,) Do you undersand my problem ? Soory: maybe I´m confusing. In Bugreport 52240 [1] is discussed "." and similar. But this is concerning only date. Currently on a international ML and on German a similar problem as you reported is being discussed. I receive a great many mail daily. I can remember it only vaguely. @Rainer: can you help? Sorry, I hope to use the right tools now (it's my first repport) Bugreport 52240 is for a date, mine is for decimal number
Hi Serge, Please ask for help on fr-users mailing list. As your OS is Linux, your problem is probably in the keyboard layout. For example on Ubuntu / Gnome AFAIK you should use Français obsolète. Closing as WorkForMe. Feel free to reopen if that does not solve the problem. Best regards. JBF
The numeric keypad point does not work. Whenever I want to use it to mark a point, it's a comma.
(In reply to sataniko@free.fr from comment #6) > The numeric keypad point does not work. > Whenever I want to use it to mark a point, it's a comma. You ask exactly the opposite of this bug report. The dot of the numeric keypad is the key for decimal separator. In French (France) the decimal separator is the comma. Please have a look at menu Tools > Options > Language Settings For further help, ask on help channel you prefer: users ML, IRC, AskLibo. Closing again. Best regards. JBF
Correct resolution status is WorksForMe (no commit to fix the problem, it works). Best regards. JBF
