Calc is able to read csv file with over 500,000 lines and 30 Columns. Pivot table will operate as expected on the data. After performing FILESAVE to ods file, I do not believe all the data is written. Calc cannot open the saved file at all. Flashes on screen then immediately closes.
Are you able to upload a sample? Perhaps zip it if it is large.
The file contains proprietary data. Can you generate a large table (550000 rows X 40 columns) of random numbers? Just use column names of A, B C, ......? generate some stats with pivot table then try to save and recall the large table. thanks Lee On Thu, Oct 11, 2012 at 7:36 PM, <bugzilla-daemon@freedesktop.org> wrote: > *Comment # 1 <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55858#c1> on bug > 55858 <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55858> from > billhook@y7mail.com * > > Are you able to upload a sample? I was able to read a csv text file with 247000 rows and 59 columns, do some stats and save and open the file as .ods. So the problem must be between about 250000 and 500000 rows.
Can't reproduce using LO 4.0.0.2 rc2 with Linux Mint 14 x64. Is it possible for you to retest with LO4.0 (release candidate or final release in February)? I'll upload a package of files with different amount of rows in it (see file names). I set bug status to NEEDINFO.
Because the files are a bit to big for FDO I uploaded it to dropbox. You can download the zip with testfiles I used to try to reproduce: https://www.dropbox.com/s/axn6040lvmnzy4s/testcases.zip
I am also using Mint 14 64 Bit. I installed version 4 of Libreoffice and tried again with the original big file; 558151 rows and columns out to BL. Everything seems to work fine now, no problems with FileSave. The saved ods file is 150 MB. I think you can mark the bug resolved. thanks Lee On Sun, Jan 27, 2013 at 2:19 PM, <bugzilla-daemon@freedesktop.org> wrote: > *Comment # 5 <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55858#c5> on bug > 55858 <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55858> from Jorendc<joren.libreoffice@telenet.be> > * > > Because the files are a bit to big for FDO I uploaded it to dropbox.
