Enter a new row of data into the form and/or subform (detail table.) 3. Click on save button on form. 4. Close the form. 5. Re-open the same form. 6. "Data of manifest.rdf could not be read" error pops up. 7. Close the database. 8. Reopen the database and look at data in form OR via table edit. 9. Edited or NEW data is not present. 10. NOTE: I have tried to resolve this by updating to LibreOffice versions 3.5.4.13 AND 3.6.3 with the same issue present in both newer versions.
There are other problems reported with Base an jre7. Could you change the jre to jre6?
Ok. I installed the official java 7 from the Oracle site and it had no positive effect. I set up Mozilla to use the Java 7 plugin for all users. Then, I downloaded and then installed java-1_6_0-openjdk-1.6.0.0_b24.1.11.5-16.1.x86_64.rpm using YAST from the openSUSE 12.1 download site [http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Java:/openjdk6:/Factory/openSUSE_12.1/x86_64/]. Then in Libre Office 3.5, I switched the JRE back to 1.6 under Tools-->Options. It's now working as it did before on my OpenSUSE 12.2 PC.
I can't confirm this bug, because I don't use JRE 7. But I have changed the summary so everybody could see, that there is another Problem with JRE 7.
Could you please test JRE 7 with the new LO 4.0.0.3? I have read in a forum, that this is the first version, which works correctly under windows with JRE 7 - could be it also works under Linux.
I have now tested openJDK 1.7.0_17 with LO 3.5.7 and LO 4.0.3.1. All tested with OpenSUSE 12.3, 32bit rpm. I could add data in forms or edit data in form. Seems, that the problem has been fixed by the newer JRE. I will switch this bug to "Resolved" and "Worksforme". Feel free to reset it to "unconfirmed", if the problem already exists with a newer JRE and LO 4.0.*
