rtf file, that was sucessfully opened in 3.6.X, but in 4.0.0.0 beta 2 could not be opened (crash)

Test file from Bug 47495, that was sucessfully opened in 3.6.X, in 4.0.0.0 beta 2 could not be opened at all (crash) with "General Error. General input/output error."
Comment 1 Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2012-12-24 09:22:57 UTC
[Reproducible] with parallel installation of "LOdev 4.0.0.0.beta2 - GERMAN UI / German Locale [Build ID: 4104d660979c57e1160b5135634f732918460a0)]" {tinderbox: @6, pull time 2012-12-20} on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) with separate /4 User Profile for Master Branch

1. Unzip Attachment 58723 [details] for Bug 47495
2. Open included .rtf LibO Start Center
   Bug: Message "General input / output error", Crash after <ok>

Already [Reproducible] with unzipped installation of "LOdev 4.0.0.0.alpha1+ - ENGLISH UI / German Locale [Build ID: af60316514f3ae3d4c475819bf86f2af837171e)]" {tinderbox: Win-x86@6, pull time 2012-11-23 22:10:31} on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) with own separate User Profile (no crash, but hangs during fileopen)

Still was ok with
* Server-installation of Master "3.7.0.alpha0+  – ENGLISH UI [Build ID: f2e622]" {tinderbox: Win-x86@16, pull time 2012-10-06 09:31:39} on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) UserInstallation=$SYSUSERCONFIG/LOdev/3
* server-installation of Master "3.7.0alpha0+  – WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) ENGLISH UI [Build ID: b255de8]" (tinderbox: Win-x86@6-fast, pull time 2012-06-05 23:16:58)

The problem is not reproducible with .rtf from Attachment 58667 [details] for Bug 47495

If reproducible with Linux, a bibisect might be useful.

@Joel,
Can you reproduce the problem with Linux?

rtf with problems what might be related

These documents from "Bug 49403 - RTF: layout of RTF document broken, regression from LibO 3.4" also might cause crashes and "General Error" Messages, but it is not sure that tat is because of the same root problems as in the first sample document.

@Timon:
Please only attach sample documents if you are sure that they demonstrate the same root problems (and not only show similar symptoms) and if they are necessary to demonstrate the bug.

All three files (Example 2, Example 15, Example 16) work now fine with LOdev 4.0 Beta2+ (2013-01-01), tested under Windows XP and Vista 64.

It's a good idea to see correction in the next LibO 4 beta, before changing status to RESOLVED WORKSFORME. Now we still don't know exactly if the problem is fixed or not.
Comment 10 Timon 2013-01-14 06:39:24 UTC
Fixed in LibO Version 4.0.0.1 (Build ID: 527dba6f6e0cfbbc71bd6e7b88a52699bb48799)
