A document with "sidetall" on every page instead of numbers

Problem description: 
Instead of numbering the pages in a document, Writer has started to insert the word "sidetall" (page number)in each footer.
(The same goes for other inserts). I have found no way to correct this misbehavior.

Steps to reproduce:
1. ....
2. ....
3. ....

Current behavior:

Expected behavior:

Version: 3.6.4.3 release

@Trond: Could you please check the following:
Go to the menu VIEW and deactivate FIELD NAMES, alternatively you can use Ctrl + F9.
