Data labels can sometimes be very long. This makes a pie chart very wide and requires a lot of space. It would therefore be very good if a selected single data label can have line breaks. The same is valid for Draw I can be contacted Operating System: Windows XP Version: 3.6.4.3 release

Hi mariosv, good to see you here as well. I would like to add the comment that in a bar chart. the category names do not break even if the "break" is flagged. In a column chart "break" works, but it is not so nice. Text should be centered and not left aligned. I keep in as an enhancement request. If someone wants to change to bug report it is fine with me.
Is this not a CALC instead of an IMPRESS issue?
@A - First thanks for looking into many Impress bugs!!!! I appreciate this a lot. No in this case it is not a Calc but an Impress bug. Additional comment: In MS PP I preferred to create charts in PP by copy and pasting data from EXCEL. This keeps the presentation file small but allows always to quickly edit data. However, in Impress copy & paste of data from Calc into the data table of Impress is not possible. This forces me to most often do make my charts in Calc and copy & paste them over. Unfortunately there are also limitations in formats which can be copied and pasted. For both cases I posted bug reports.

Created attachment 83782 [details] sample file with long chart lables I created a charts with long labels. (Long labels become important when results of a survey needs to be graphically displayed.) The label names used here match pretty will the average length of such labels from survey. To my surprise in column charts under x-axis option I could select the line break and it works. For bar charts this did not work. (More important in statistical charts.) For bar charts it is also to be seen that the default chart area is too small for the long, unbroken label text. For bar charts, reducing the chart area width did not enforce a line break.
