Problem description: on start up the program functions ok then after a while menu functions become inoperative. eg select 'manual break' and nothing happens no dialogue no nothing! the only way to get around the problem is to exit and reload. Steps to reproduce: every time i use the program 1. .... 2. .... 3. .... Current behavior: erratic and unpredictable Expected behavior:not the above THIS HAS ONLY BEEN EXPERIENCED SINCE THE UPGRADE FROM UBUNTU 12.04 Operating System: Ubuntu Version: 3.6.2.2 release
Just to clarify, when you say upgrade Ubuntu, do you mean to 12.10? Also, is there a certain time frame (after 5 minutes, for example), or after making a certain amount of changes? Are you still able to modify the document by adding or deleting text?
i have put some answers alongside your questions . there is also an intermittant problem that when i try to select text within a table the screen blanks out, release the mouse button and the screen is back on..... Likewise for me, with Libre Office 3.6.6.2 on Ubuntu Linux 12.10 on an Intel 4-core Core(TM) i5-2430M CPU. Usually everything works for a time , and then some commands such as Table/Convert/text to table... are grayed out, while others that appear normal fail to function when selected.
Hi, I cannot confirm this, but I'm using Ubuntu 12.04. Can someone else can test this?
Sorry it's taken me long to respond. Have you had the chance to test this using LibreOffice 4.0 to see if the problem still persists? If you are able, please let me know the results. If it is fixed, that's good. If not, I will use your input as basis to change this bug to a confirmed NEW.
Hi, I installed the latest version last night and experienced a few teething problems to begin with, but it all seems to be working very well at present. After posting the initial bug report I installed version 3.6.5.2; there were no intermittent problems with that version. How ever I had a lot of intermittent problems with the screen blanking off when I pressed the left mouse button. I have only used version 4 a couple of time and so far I've had no problems. New development I've changed my operating system to LINUX MINT 14 and am using LIBREOFFICE 3.6.2.2. There do not seem to be any of the problems that I experienced using UBUNTU 12.10 whatsoever. I think the problem lay with Ubuntu.... I had several crashes followed by a message UBUNTU HAS EXPERIENCEd AN INTERNAL ERROR On 1 March 2013 13:56, Tim Cooper <timoap@googlemail.com> wrote: > Sorry got that wrong...... > it still blanks out on a left mouse click, right back to the ubuntu splash > screen... but very intermittent. > > > On 1 March 2013 13:25, Tim Cooper <timoap@googlemail.com> wrote: > >> Hi, I installed the latest version last night and experienced a few >> teething problems to begin with, but it all seems to be working very well >> at present. >> After posting the initial bug report I installed version 3.6.5.2; there >> were no intermittent problems with that version.
