Problem description: Steps to reproduce: 1. Use any smart art extension or similar diagram from scratch. 2. Write some text in boxes of smart art 3. Save file as MS Office 2003/7 or 2010 format. 4. close PPT or PPTX 5. Reopen PPT or PPTX using LIbreoffice or MS Office Current behavior: Pictures are changed, text are not readable or displaced. Hence unable to share PPT to other people who use MS Office. Expected behavior: Cross Save as IS, even the file size is heavier. e.g. PDF format export works almost perfect. Operating System: Windows 7 Version: 4.0.0.3 release
Thanks. I can reproduce this behavior using Linux Mint 14 x64 with LibreOffice 4.0.1.2. When I reopen this document I can't see anything wrong with the text. But, the SmartArt looks very bad (= unrecognizable). I'll attach a test ODP file with a screenshot how it looks like when reopening.

I already can reproduce this behavior with latest bibisectable version (LibreOffice 3.5.0 Build ID: d6cde02). Because this is the oldest version we can reproduce, I change it to that version.
Hi Jorendc, screenshot depicts the issue appropriately. If the diagram are more complex it result much more scattered result. In addition, similar behavior also occur for 'Text Box', where you add lot of text in Libreoffice and in PPTX the fonts became bigger. Regards IM

Is it possible to add a test ODP file which we can save as PPTX, so we can reproduce that behavior too? Thanks in advance, Joren

Is that behavior reproducible from scratch? (steps?) If not -> (In reply to comment #8) > I can email. But can not post it in public forum. Sure, that is not a problem. I received test documents in private from the bug reporter. @ possible future developer: ping me or the bug reporter (IM) for the documents. They are confidential, therefore they'll not be uploaded to this bug report. Kind regards, Joren
Still happening with LO Version: 4.3.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: f76026a43acc65465882924796d93e635c35fd90 TinderBox: MacOSX-x86@49-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2014-05-04_06:32:55 Saving as pptx and re-opening that with LO produces pretty ugly results.

Bad things still happen, but not like in the screenshot from 2013. The speech bubble shrinks in height. The lower circles of the cloud bubble condense at its bottom. Otherwise ok.
