Description Manole Paul-Sebastian 2013-03-28 10:08:45 UTC
Problem description:
The minimum window size hint is not set, effectively giving way for impossibly small windows to be created that cannot be resized in the window manager.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Connect external monitor with very high resolution (1680x1050)
2. Maximize window then close
3. Disconnect external monitor
4. Restart LibreOffice Spreadsheet on smaller display

Current behavior:
Get undefined behaviour such as very large or very small windows upon desktop size adjustment.

Expected behavior:
All LibreOffice windows that remember the last window size, should also check if the last window size is larger than the current desktop size and adjust that size to the current desktop size. All LibreOffice windows should have sensible minimum window sizes programmed. Example: 600x400 pixels.
Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 3.6.2.2 release

IMO this is a DE problem not a LibreOffice problem - I get similar problems when watching a show or something from hulu on firefox.

Asking for more advice on this one.

Confirming; I can believe this is a problem - can you report which desktop you're using: KDE or GNOME (or other), and/or try existing and launching on the console:

SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk soffice
SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kde soffice
SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kde4 soffice

And seeing for which of these you can reproduce this (?) :-)

I'm sorry. I can't confirm anymore. Maybe someone else can?
