Problem description: Working with a full-screen window is a great way to work without distractions such as a ticking clock, new email indicator &c. However, LibreOffice full screen mode does not just make the window full screen, it also removes the menus and toolbars, thus making editing much less convenient. I understand that some users will prefer things this way; making LibreOffice remember separate chrome configurations for full screen and normal windows would allow us to configure its operation to taste. Current behavior: When I go to full screen mode, most of the UI chrome disappears. Expected behavior: Unless I tell LibreOffice to display different chrome in full screen mode, it should display the same as when windowed. Operating System: Ubuntu Version: unspecified
Great idea. Marking as: New Enhancement High - seems like this would be wanted by anyone using full screen. Furthermore you can't even open a dialog (such as styles dialog) when full screened. In order to limit the confusion between ProposedEasyHack and EasyHack and to make queries much easier we are changing ProposedEasyHack to NeedsDevEval. Thank you and apologies for the noise

It is not clear how this should be implemented (behind an option?), so pinging design team.
Sounds to me like a perfect use case for the Notebookbar. Users who wants full screen without menu/toolbar take the standard layout all other one of the NB variants. Other than that I resolve the issue as WFM. The OS/DE provides means to hide the taskbar plus maximizing the UI should be enough for distraction free working. Feel free to reopen but please add a comment in that case.
