Created attachment 80217 [details] DOCX containing a formatted text-box Problem description: When LO loads that attached DOCX that contains a formatted text-box - LO shows the text-box with no formatting, as a square inside a square. In addition - the word formatting is different than the word formatting in Word. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open the attached DOCX in LO 2. Text-box has no formatting and word wrapping is wrong Current behavior: LO doesn't show any formatting for the text-box. LO wraps the word inside the text-box differently than Word. Expected behavior: LO should show the text-box formatted like in Word. Word-wrapping should be like in Word Operating System: Windows 8 Version: 4.0.3.3 release
Created attachment 80218 [details] Screenshot comparison of Word 2013 and LO 4.0.3.3
I can confirm this using Mac OSX 10.8.3 with LibreOffice 4.0.4.1 RC1, in combination of Word for Mac 2011
There has been some work done on this, and now this looks much better. However, there are still some differences: 1) The gradient color looks mirrored between LO and MS Word 2) There is no white border around the text-box 3) There is no shadow to the text-box
Created attachment 81780 [details] Screenshot comparison of Word 2013 and LO 4.2.0.0.alpha0+ Added a newer screenshot comparison showing the latest versions comparison.

Created attachment 128823 [details] Compare MSO and LO 4.2-4.4-5.3+ "Document based" bugs are not likely ever be solved and here we should have "issue based" bugs. This can be either word wrapping or some of the visual differences. I suggest wrapping be closed as a duplicate of Bug 62422. Gradient looked better in 4.2 and it may be another regression bug, please search. Personally, I don't even see border and shadow and it doesn't seem relevant to me.
