Hello,

within a slide show in public (approx. 500 people watching) I'd like to choose Libreoffice Impress over other presentation software. Probably I need to include this animation as a video clip (rendered by some other libre software):

I just want one slow zoom out from the center of a large image (say over 10-15 seconds): First you see just the center section (approx 5 times zoomed), in the end the entire picture should be shown. During the entire animation, the full screen should be covered by (part of) the photograph.

At the moment I only see the "zoom" effect. I manupilated it by scaling the image
larger than the screen, so the screen is covered all the way. But even "very slow" is to fast this time (suggestion: custom speed => enter duration), and then there is no zoom option to state the zoom factor.

Did I miss anything?

If this is possible, it is also easy to render the famous Ken Burns effect (i.e. zooming in instead of zooming out) with LibreOffice Impress. This effect is described in [1], asked for in [2], and there is a demo at youtube[3].

Thanks
Mike.

Tried finding that effect in LO Presentation but couldn't.

Tried "Zoom" at very slow setting, but that is not what the Ken Burns Effect would look like.

So this sounds like a very useful enhancement request. Would be great to have to Ken Burns entires in the Animation-Listing Ken Burns zoom-in Ken Burns zoom-out.

Setting to NEW. Please correct me if this is already possible.

Having the Ken-Burns-Effect available in LO Impress would allow it to make high quality photo presentations. Usually people use a mixture between slides the manually forward and talk about and slides that are played automatically with music in the background. To make the automatic ones more interesting the Ken-Burns-Effet is used often times.

I pepared a simpel mock-up to show how I could imagine a simple and fast interface and workflow.

Workflow:
—>choose Ken-Burns-Effect from animations
—>two boxes will appear for 1st and 2nd position that can be dragged around and resized.
—> set transition time between different positions (if there is a set time for each slide it could be considered having the adjusment in percentage of the whole slide time)
—> done
(no clear idea for adding additional positions (maybe if you right click on the animation or something slike that)
