Description andybstaples 2013-07-05 14:46:09 UTC
Problem description: When starting Impress from the command line and using the --show parameter the "exchange" button cannot be pressed without the application crashing.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start Impress from the command line using the --show "{filename}" parameter
2. Once the slideshow has loaded press the "Exchange" button
3. ....

Current behavior: Crash followed by document recovery. On reload the windows have been exchanged as expected.

Expected behavior: No crash, windows swapped exactly like they do when not using the --show parameter

Operating System: Windows 7
Version: 4.0.4.2 release

I'm try to reproduce this with master sources but don't see any Exchange button, any idea?
Comment 4 Julien Nabet 2013-07-22 12:55:47 UTC
bfoman: I took a look to git history of sd/source/ui/slideshow/slideshow.cxx and found that Michael had pushed a fix for fdo#67045 (ee4569efa8322497112e8e951a67b9adca4ac55e, 18/07/2013). Could you give a new try after an update?

Connect another monitor? Then you can exchange screens.
Comment 6 Julien Nabet 2013-07-22 16:37:46 UTC
bfoman: I got another monitor but no vga cable :( (I use the other monitor with dvi cable)
Comment 7 Julien Nabet 2013-11-17 16:22:56 UTC
andybstaples/bfoman: could you give a new try with a recent LO version (eg: 4.1.3)?
Indeed, it could be solved by the fix for fdo#67045 (put in See also)
Comment 8 andybstaples 2014-01-22 18:03:25 UTC
Hi,

Sorry its taken me so long to get to this.

The bug still exists in 4.1.4 as far as I can tell.

Thanks.

Has there been any progress on this bug?

Can I supply any more information to facilitate it getting squashed?
Comment 11 Caolán McNamara 2014-09-16 08:47:22 UTC
FWIW, works fine under Linux and 4.2.6.2
Comment 12 Julien Nabet 2015-04-17 22:38:01 UTC
Andy: following last Caolan's comment, could you give a new try with recent LO version (4.4.2 or at least 4.3.6)?
