Problem description: If one wants to see a foot note / end note while working in web page view, one needs to scroll to the very end of the document to see the notes. This means text and foot notes cannot be seen on the same screen. Enhancement request: When Web Page view is chosen and a foot note (or end note) is added to the text, a smaller window at the bottom of the screen and across the screen should open up automatically to allow entering and viewing of the foot note / end note text. When scrolling through the main text, the text in the foot note / end note window should automatically scroll so that the text for foot notes / end notes in the main text appear in the bottom window. The equivalent should be valid when the text in the foot note / end note window is scrolled. This idea is not my own one, It is based (or most likely identical) to what MS Word offers on functionality to in respect to foot notes /end notes in the Normal View of a text.. As far as I remember the MS Word functionality, it just can be copied. Operating System: All Version: 4.0.4.2 release
Hi bugquestcontri, Thanks for clearly writing down this suggestion. World is not so easy as 'just copying from Word' but the suggestion is useful on its own. I set it to New, Enhancement en version the oldest LibreOffice. Regards, Cor
Ho Cor, I know it easy to say "just copy...." Thanks for putting it on status New! Regards, R
Design team: do we want this?
Quite old ticket, no discussion... The web layout is just not suited for footnotes; the Navigator has everything to quickly jump to the FN position (and back thanks the new Recency option). => WF
