Description Ljiljan 2013-07-25 08:14:40 UTC
Created attachment 82984 [details]
file with drawings

Problem description:

When I open presentaton that is made in PPT (see attachment), Impress open it perfectly good. I can save it in ODP, and reopen... everything is still great... but if I save it in PPT again (from new ODP), Power Point does not open it correctly.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Power Point that containts drawings (see attachment)
2. Save it in ODP and close
3. Open again in Impress and now save it in PPT (not PPTX)
4. Open PPT in Power Point

Current behavior:

All drawings are displayed wrong or not displayed.

Expected behavior:

Drawings should contain the same position, shape, border colors etc...

Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 4.0.4.2 release

I can confirm this. Setting status to NEW. Related AskLO thread with my testing details is:

http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/20652/editing-graphics-created-in-ms-power-point/

It will be interesting to see if the fixes forthcoming in v4.1.0 improve the handling of the example presentation.

ZIP containg ODP (of original PPTX) and PPTX (of ODP) under v4412.

Re-tested under GNU/Linux using:
v4.4.1.2 Build ID: 45e2de17089c24a1fa810c8f975a7171ba4cd432

Original provided PPTX appears to make the round-trip to ODP and back to PPTX ok, at least under LO Impress. Files attached for others to test under MS PowerPoint.

As the file comes from WPS Office, it is a bit suspect.

Anyway, in LibO 3.3.0, the slide was displayed a bit wrong (the businessmen were partly invisible).

Simple steps: open (Microsoft Macintosh PowerPoint) PPTX attachment 82984 [details] and save as PPT. Wrong in 7.3+ and MSO. Same if PPTX first resaved in MSO.

Dear Ljiljan,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
