Thanks for the report, Slava. I change the summary a bit: it does open for me, but I can imagine that some computers will fail (due to lack of memory - though mine with Ubuntu only has 4GB). Best, Cor

Guessing from the title, this might be another duplicate of issue 63433?
Confirmed:4.2.0.1:OSX While this document is pretty chaotic and covers a ton of edge cases it displays ok in Word but looks very broken when opened with LO.

LibreOffice 5.1.5 5.2.1 x86 not open file. LibreOffice 5.2.1 x64 open file, but hangs. RAM 3800 Гб Windows 7 x64
Created attachment 127461 [details] document opens OK in LibreOffice daily 20160919 on Linux
Opening in 5.2.1.2 on Windows 7 64 bits... indeed open but then nothing can be done, every action hangs I did set Tools > Options > Memory LibreOffice to 400 MB and number of objects to 100. set to Windows only
Performance issue still reproducible with Version: 6.0.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) Build-ID: d918a8086af56d1869e465baae64d960e56066d1 CPU-Threads: 8; Betriebssystem: Windows 6.19; UI-Render: Standard; TinderBox: Win-x86_64@62-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2017-09-08_22:40:30 Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); Calc: group Adding to meta "DOC-Images" bug 112701 because there are no other objects in that file which can cause the problem as far as I can see. Performance problems with images are known in LibO, see other regressions and perf bugs e.g. in meta "Images" bug 108437 or meta "Scrolling" bug 108075.
On Win10, the attached file needs 3200 MB of RAM!
