And what happens if you upgrade LibreOffice under Ubuntu so that it matches your XP installation’s version number?
Comment 2 frederic.maillard 2013-09-13 17:09:54 UTC
Hello,

I have the lattest version of LibreOffice on my PC which runs Ubuntu 12.10, as I always load new versions available in the Update Manager.

To do the test you advised me, do you mean I should try to update LibreOffice with version 4.1.1 (as 4.1.0.4 the version I have under Windows XP does not seem to be available any more) under Ubuntu 12.10 (I would like to keep this LTS version instead of updating to 13.04) ?

Is it possible ? will LibreOffice 4.1.1 work under Ubuntu 12.10 ?

Many thanks
FM

You can get newer PPA builds for Ubuntu 12.10 at e.g.:

 https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/ppa

also note that LibreOffice 3.6 is end of life at TDF (you might still file a bug against Ubuntus version on Launchpad) => closiing WONTFIX

Thanks for your reply.
I think all this is a bit complicated for me.
I will wait for a fixed update.
