Buttons are nicely layouted.
Reproduced with: 4.0.6, 4.1.3
Not happening in: 3.6.7, 4.2.0.alpha

wrong layout in 4.0.6
Created attachment 89381 [details]
correct layout in 4.2.0.alpha
The most useful bibisect would be to find where this was fixed in LibreOffice 4.2.0.alpha. Failing that (or in complement to the former), find where this was introduced during development of LibreOffice 4.0.
Not sure whether this is the same bug or not, but in the preview for tables the toolbar overlaps the table grid unless I resize the window, then the content is re-rendered fine, but if I switch preview to None and then to Document again, the layout gets messed up again.
Look at the attached screenshot.

Carlos, what you describe is a duplicate of a bug I opened what seemed ages ago in the document preview pane, I just have to find it again.
cannot reproduce the bug in any version tried (including 4.0.6 or 18.104.22.168)
