Create a writer document 2. Hi, Confirmed with second attachment with page number available. In toc, illustration and alphabetical indexes, page number disappears on index updating. Observe too hyperlinks are deleted and their names replaced by one shortcut (Navigator). Same problem with Ubuntu 12.04 and Version: 4.2.0.0.beta1 Build ID: f4ca7b35f580827ad2c69ea6d29f7c9b48ebbac7 Twelve page report, index over 2 pages, created in 4.1.3. No problem updating with 4.1.3. Page number disappears on updating index. Update index takes alignment characteristics from Page Heading paragraph settings. Centred for Heading 3, aligned left for 4. Just using heading levels 3 and 4.
The problem still exists in 4.2 beta (deb). If I update an index (also from an earlier version of LO), page numbers will be lost. If I save in 4.2 - and open in 4.1 - and update the index page numbers will be shown - but spaces (I set in 4.1) in front and behind the tab are lost.
Still exists in beta 2. In this version the table index lost all information (inclusive the title). Best regards Gerald

In 4.2.0 RC 2 Page numbers will be shown but there are no numbers of chapters after updating the index. I can insert the numbers in the dialogue, they will be shown. When I recall the dialogue and insert a blank between the number of the chapters and the name of the chapters and say OK the numbers of the chapters are lost. If I insert any sign between '#' and 'LE' the whole entry in the index is empty.
this bug is about index and TOC not updating _at_ _all_
