Problem description: When you use VoiceOver with LibreOffice and open a dialog that contains a text field (with text) it will make VoiceOver "crash" and restart it self in an endless loop until you step away from the text field. Empty text fields seems to work ok. Accessibility Inspector seems to work ok with the text fields and reports them with the role AXTextArea. Other programs seem to use AXTextField which LibreOffice Accessibility does not have an equivalent for (at least not to my knowledge). Interestingly Combo boxes text area part does not show the same symptoms. Steps to reproduce: 1. Start Writer on a Mac 2. Start VoiceOver 3. Go to File -> Properties 4. Open the Description tab and type something in one of the text fields 5. Step away from the text field and then back again Current behavior: VoiceOver restarts it self Expected behavior: VoiceOver announces the control and then the text you entered. @NIklas, could you check on a newer build. Boris did some NS Accessibility scrubbing that should be in place for 4.2.0 betas and master. Any improvement?
I checked again with a build of the 4.2 branch that I pulled and compiled this morning. Sorry to say that the issue is still present.

I guess it is the VoiceOver part that needs explaining, if not let me know what part of the steps that needs further explanation. To start/stop VoiceOver use the key-combination Command+F5. If VoiceOver does not start press fn+Command+F5. It may be a good idea to take the tour (Learn more...-button) to learn a few basic commands if you are new to using VoiceOver. The most important key-combinations are ctrl+option+space (perform the default action press buttons etc.) ctrl+option+arrow key (move the VoiceOver-cursor) You should however be able to just use the mouse and keyboard as usual to test the steps outlined in the first column. Note that typing something in the text field is important and it is first when you move back to the text field containing text that the weird behavior occurs. Just tried it with LibreOffice 4.3.0.4 and the behavior is present but LibreOffice or VoiceOver seems to have gotten an update so it bails out after a reboot and puts focus on the first element in the dialog, in this case the tab CMIS-properties.
I noticed something new today. If I go to File -> Properties, select the tab Description and write more than one paragraph in the Comment text field, VoiceOver does not restart it self if I step away and then back again.

The problem of looping also occurs in the name field of the properties dialog where the default name 'Untitled' is displayed.

Just tested on - macOS 10.15 - LibreOffice 6.3.1.2 If I select multiple paragraphs, only the paragraph selected last is read (not the last paragraph in the selection). e.g. Paragraph 1. Paragraph 2. Paragraph 3. Placing the cursor at "Paragraph 1" and selecting down to "Paragraph 3" will read only paragraph 3. Starting the selecting at "Paragraph 3" and selecting up to "Paragraph 1" will read only paragraph 1.
