Description Jim McKane 2014-02-03 15:23:54 UTC
I have done copy/paste of text from LibreOffice 4.1 and earlier versions to the "design" window of Expression Web for quite a long time without problem; however, in ver. 4.2, it will not paste. I reverted to ver 4.1 and all works well.

Does it work when you Paste special as text?
Comment 2 Jim McKane 2014-02-05 19:42:03 UTC
No, it does not.
Comment 3 Regina Henschel 2014-02-06 00:56:20 UTC
Please look at bug 74584. "Expression Web" sounds as if HTML clipboard content is used.

Dear Jim,

Is there any update from you on this issue or should i close this bug? I have seen that 4.1 opens html files differently than 4.2, as html and css styles are not represented properly.
Comment 5 Jim McKane 2014-07-14 09:43:19 UTC
I don't know as I still use ver 4.1 BUT the problem was when I would
copy/paste from a word document in LibreOffice to Expression Web. It was
not when I was opening an html file in LO.

Jim

Hi Jim,

As 4.1 and 4.2 treat html differently and you are copying things from writer into express web, copy & paste data is copied in multiple formats, one of which is html, and its likely that express web would paste the html formatted data into itself. You can see this behaviour of multiple copy formats by pressing Shift + Ctrl + V in writer.

Please do let us know if 4.2.5 solves your issue and hopefully you'll be able to upgrade to it. You can try it out in portable form by visiting this link < http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/4.2.5.2/portable/ >.

Hi Jay - sorry to take so long getting back to you. I tested it for
sometime using the portable version. It looks good now so I just installed
4.3 a few minutes ago.

THANKS so much
Jim
