1. Insert an index entry at the beginning of a paragraph. 2. Save as *.DOC and exit. 3. Reopen the document. 4. The paragraph break is deleted - next paragraph's text begins immediately after the previous paragraph's text (When I first encountered the problem, the index entry was preserved; sometimes, however, it disappears too.)
It seems in the same domain than bug 69803, where the error does not happen all times, and there is no reproductible step-by-step from a NEW text document. Here too, I can't manage to reproduce it with LibO 4.2.0.4 on Win7.
I don't reproduce with version 4.1.5.3 under Debian 6. Paragraph break and index entry are still present - Could you try with a newer version? Sophie
Dear wojciech, I cant reproduce this issue with 4.1.6 or 4.2.5. Can you try any of the lastest versions to see if its still effecting you.
Hi, Yes, I can reproduce this issue with LibreOffice 4.2.5.2 (Ubuntu 14.04, 64-bit). The paragraph break disappears and the index entry is deleted.
Hello, Is it possible for you to provide a sample .odt document which i can then test saving it to a .doc to show this error.

Hi, Thank you for the sample document. I can confirm that it works correctly in 3.3.0, but the earliest version that i could test that it is not working in is 3.5.7.
PreBibisect - updating version
The problem persists in LO 4.4.5.2 in an odt document. Doesn't occur every time. A document can look good and TOC and Index updated correctly and saved and closed. But next time it is open paragraph breaks for some paragraphs may be gone and so may index entries for those paragraphs.

[This is an automatic message] Changing version to 3.5.7.2 in order to get rid of 'preBibisect' version as 3.5.7.2 looks to be the last version not covered by bibisect-43all.
** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!
