pasted pictures in a word document are scrambled. Pictures copied from the web or from native sources are scrambled when they are pasted.
What's your MacOs version? What's your LO version? From which url do you try the copy paste?
I am running OSX I paste any picture, from any URL I am running the most recent version of libra office, in fact I just downloaded it for the first time. What OSX version do you have? 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 10.7 (Lion), 10.8 (Lion Mountain), 10.9 (Maverick)? What LO version? 4.2.2 or 4.1.5? Could you just give an example of url you use? Do you reproduce this with any Word document or just a specific one? Could you attach this Word document (by using this link https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?bugid=76786&action=enter)? (keep in mind that every attachment are public, so remove any confidential/private part in it).
