I have this bug on opensuse 13.1, two computers.

When you open a comma separated CSV file and re-save it, it doesn't give you the option of how to format it, and it chooses tab separated by default. To change back to comma separated, I have to save to ODS and then resave to CSV. extremely annoying.

Hi Elliott, please what is your LibreOffice version.

Please try doing Save As, selecting Edit Filter Settings, and verify if the selected separator is preserved on next savings.

I was using the default version included with opensuse 13.1 distro (4.1.5).
I downloaded the 4.2.3 version from the opensuse 13.1 Factory repo and it
fixed my issue.
