When using Writer, I inserted page numbers in a 5 page doc. Then I made adjustments to indents for paragraphs, including first line indent, and hanging indent. Doing this somehow messed up the page numbering sequencing. Can send you what I'm doing... I'll attach the tutorial as it is thus far and you can work through it and see if you get the same result. Attaching, too, the raw document (Term Paper) the tutorial is designed to work on. The bug begins on page 54 of the tutorial (indication in red text for the start of the problem) and ends where indicated in red on page 57. I don't see how to attach here the second file--please advise, since you will need that, I think...
Hi Bernard, You forgot to attach the first file as well. :) You can attach them by clicking the 'Add an attachment' link on this page here at < https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79918 >.
Did you ask user support first? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/community-support/
Created attachment 100882 [details] Term Paper.odt I tried sending the first file and it was rejected because it was too large (larger than 3000K, I think it was)--nut whatever it was rejected because of the size. Can I send the two files to you from here, and then can transfer them to your system? Here they are anyway, and let me know if there's anything else I need to do. Dear Bernard, I cant seem to find anything wrong with the page numbering after page 57. Is it possible to give some more explanation of the issue with possibly a screenshot or screencast. Please dont reply to these message by email as it adds unnecessary information into the bug tracking system. Please click on the bug number link provided in the email and you will be taken to this bugzilla page, where you can add your comment and attachments. If any file is to large to upload into the bug system, please upload the file to any of the popular file hosting service like dropbox, google drive or onedrive and provide us with the link.
That's fabulous, Jay. Looks like it's something on my system, so no probs. But keep your ear to the ground in case it pops up again, in a strange, faraway place, where you would least expect it, and where it will do the most damage possible to someone else's files.... Bernie :)

Bernie :) Hi Bernard, Thanks for sending in your bug even though. My eyes are always peeled for the next bug that will burn down someone's hard disk. :) On a separate note, was skimming through lesson 1 of your LibreOffice tutorial series, and think that you should update figure 1.6 and 1.7 as they seemed quite low in quality and unclear. Would also suggest you mention that your tutorial is for LibreOffice 4, as i think there will be changes in the UI in the next major release.

I'm now home in Pennsylvania, working on another system, and will see what happens here. So I'll keep you posted on that. Jay Philips wrote: Would also suggest you mention that your tutorial is for LibreOffice 4, as i think there will be changes in the UI in the next major release. Bernie replies: I hear you on this,Jay, and have already thought about doing that, but I doubt that I'll be doing another version of the tutorials, if only because I'm now aware of other serious weaknesses in the software (such as the PK issue in Base), which give me pause. I will, however, mention in the Intro to the tutorials that this particular version is written to accompany LO 4.5, OK? Jay Philips wrote: think that you should update figure 1.6 and 1.7 as they seemed quite low in quality and unclear. Bernie replies: I agree. Those figs go back to a version of the tutorials I wrote about 20 years ago, where there were still a lot of people who were figuring their way around a keyboard. Best thing for me to do is throw them away--which I will do today :)
