"Save as" choosing "Office Open XML Table (.xlsx) (*.xlsx) Current behavior: File cannot be opened by MSOffice for WindowsPhone 8.1 Expected behavior: File should be editable. The files attached have the same content (a1/A1, b1/B1 - see above). Operating System: Windows 7 Version: 4.2.5.2 release
Seems there is a problem that none of you is using WindowsPhone. But you can use these steps to understand the issue: 1) Create your own ODS using Libre Office 4.2.6.3. Save it in ODFormat. 2) Save it as example1.xlsx (Microsoft Excel 2007/2010/2013 XML). 3) Create a file example2.xlsx by translating the ods using ODF Translator CommandLineTool. This can be found as 'CommandLineTool_4.0.5309.zip' in SourceForge.net. If you don't find it, I can send it to you. The results of 2) and 3) do not match, whereby 3) is compatible with the Microsoft Office Suite on WindowsPhone 8.1.

You can't confirm yourself a bug. Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
