** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of LibreOffice (4.4.1 or later): https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of LibreOffice and your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo"; 4b. attachment 102363 [details] is MSO 2007 DOCX but regardless, same if resaved in MSO. Comment 3 repro in LO 70+. RT opens in LO, cannot be open in MSO. I retitle for current issue "MSO says file is damaged after roundtrip". LO 4.0 doesn't open content. LO 4.3 saved DOCX opens in MSO. Regression from 4.4.
The corruption is reported in bug 103987, thus I am adding that bug as dependency. For the record I didn't see missing text in Word 2013 when roundtripped the document with the 4.4 build preceding the regression in bug 103987.
OK, I failed to check. Moral is: please always use See Also in a new bug to connect to the original file bug, so that other reported issues are clear.
Created attachment 157436 [details] Sample without the custom properties (saved w Word 2013) I removed the custom properties in Word 2013, and saved the document that way. I don't know if this fundamentally changes the file, as I mentioned the roundtripped document looked fine in Word even with a 4.4 build, and this one behaves the same. Perhaps it depends on MSO version. It might be worth repeating the same with previous MSO versions starting from the original file.
Created attachment 166638 [details] Screenshot after RT with LO 7.0.2 Unfortunately I cannot reproduce that issue: Version: 7.0.2.2 Build ID: 8349ace3c3162073abd90d81fd06dcfb6b36b994 CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 10.15.7; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
(In reply to Buovjaga from comment #3) > MSO says file is damaged after roundtrip. Still repro with master and MSO 2013. Used attachment 102363 [details]
Please attach the file (after roundtrip), where there is no text around textbox. Could you please confirm the corruption issue was fixed: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103987 ? (In reply to Buovjaga from comment #11) > Still repro with master and MSO 2013. Used attachment 102363 [details]
Ooh, with the very latest master build I don't repro this. MSO 2013 has no problem opening and the file renders identically. As you mentioned 7.0.2, I thought it would not matter, if I tested with a not-so-new master :) Bartosz: feel free to change the status how you like, fixed, duplicate...
Thanks Ilmari for verification.
