Install libreoffice + libreoffice-kde package 2. run: libreoffice --quickstart --nologo --nodefault 3. uninstall libreoffice-kde 4. run: libreoffice --quickstart --nologo --nodefault Current behavior: when libreoffice-kde package installed (along libreoffice-gtk, gtk3, gnome packages), quickstart won't load: (process:6999): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_hash_table_lookup: assertion `hash_table != NULL' failed or (when soffice.bin process exists I think) no error, but won't launch either. When libreoffice-kde package uninstalled, quickstart can go normally, although LO UI partially broken on my system (pull-down menus arrows buttons too big) Operating System: Ubuntu Version: 4.2.5.2 release

Nice bug report. Looks like a dupe of Bug 72243. Anyway: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/5.4#Feature_removal_.2F_deprecation says "The Linux Quickstarter is deprecated and will be removed in the next release" So I'll close as WontFix.
