Description dijxie 2014-07-07 11:20:23 UTC
Problem description:

uname -a ; cat /etc/*release ; kded4 --version ; libreoffice --version

Linux 3.2.0-65-generic #99-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 4 21:03:29 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
DISTRIB_ID=LinuxMint
DISTRIB_RELEASE=13
DISTRIB_CODENAME=maya
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Linux Mint 13 Maya"
NAME="Ubuntu"
VERSION="12.04.4 LTS, Precise Pangolin"
ID=ubuntu
ID_LIKE=debian
PRETTY_NAME="Ubuntu precise (12.04.4 LTS)"
VERSION_ID="12.04"
Qt: 4.8.2
KDE: 4.13.2
KDE Daemon: 4.13.2
LibreOffice 4.2.5.2 420m0(Build:2)

Using:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/libreoffice/ppa/ubuntu precise main #Libreoffice PPA
and
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/backports/ubuntu precise main

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install libreoffice + libreoffice-kde package
2. run: libreoffice --quickstart --nologo --nodefault
3. uninstall libreoffice-kde
4. run: libreoffice --quickstart --nologo --nodefault

Current behavior:

when libreoffice-kde package installed (along libreoffice-gtk, gtk3, gnome packages), quickstart won't load:

(process:6999): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_hash_table_lookup: assertion `hash_table != NULL' failed

or (when soffice.bin process exists I think) no error, but won't launch either.

When libreoffice-kde package uninstalled, quickstart can go normally, although LO UI partially broken on my system (pull-down menus arrows buttons too big)

Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 4.2.5.2 release

I'm assuming it's kosher to use Ubuntu LibreOffice PPAs with LinuxMint?

Yeah, I get a crash notification when trying with
libreoffice --quickstart --nologo --nodefault

Nice bug report. Looks like a dupe of Bug 72243. Anyway:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/5.4#Feature_removal_.2F_deprecation says
"The Linux Quickstarter is deprecated and will be removed in the next release"
So I'll close as WontFix.
